What are some ways to handle stress related nausea?

I have had stress-related nausea for several months now. The job that I work at is in sales and it is very high stress. They fire people in front of the rest of the employees and sometimes they have unreal expectations. I find that during these times in particular I feel like I have to throw up, but I’m not able to throw up. I’ve tried drinking ginger ale and it doesn’t seem to help at all. Drinking peppermint tea seems to help, as well as Pepto Bismol. I’d like to know, though, if there’s any way to prevent this feeling sick all together without losing my job. Any suggestions?

Avoid the stress!! No really, try to take a few deep breathes and go somewhere that you can lay down and relax to calm your nerves for a few moments

Do some deep breathing exercises, or find a less stressful job. I suffer from this too, but as a single-mom of 2 teens I’m stuck at this job until they graduate – then I’M OUTTA HERE!!!

You have really got to try to keep your stress level down because the upset stomache could become an ulcer. Consider a diffrent type of job that is less stressful.
