Stress can definitely cause hair loss. It's called alopesia nervosa. The good news is that it's temporary. If you can't avoid a stressful situation, your doctor can prescribe something to calm you down until it's over. You can also use volumizers for your hair or take special vitamins. Health stores carry vitamins that stimulate hair growth.
I went through a very difficult time when my husband died and I started losing hair. Thankfully, that's all behind me.
It will pass and you'll have your hair back.

The only way to stop this, is to fix the source of your stress.

If its your job, maybe try to cut back the work load (or just remember: it's only a job!)

There are some good meditation's out there on CD, which I find really soothing....

Just breathe and relax...

You might also find a mantra relaxing. Its just something you say over and over to yourself, when you find your stressed, or becoming a bit anxious.
You might like to try:
" I am cool"
" The wind floats over me"
" Lift me up" (that's my one)

Stress could trigger a lot of health problems and i think losing hair is one. You need to seek a professional help, that is the safest way you can do. For falling hair, try putting aloe vera extract on your scalp, that would help.
